With crazies like the Shooter in NY and NRA who needs Al Qaeda?

We are spending treasure and blood in a foreign land in order to "SAVE LIVES" here, while we have gun laws that let us kill our own - Right here in the USA....

Nuff said.

Let all the NRA apologists come crawling out to defend NRA .. I dont give a damn!

1. "we have gun laws that let us kill our own"
No we don't.

Killing people is murder and we have laws against that.

4. If you want to blame someone for Binghamton...
...you might want to take a look at all the anti-immigration rabble-rousing. But personally, I'm holding off until we actually have some facts.

5. we can't stop situations like Binghamton from happening- but there
ARE tangible things that can be done to save lives. Single payer health care could save more lives than were lost in 9/11. Investing in programs that build up rather than destroy-

Living is a deadly game that we all lose eventually.

My thoughts are with those involved in this frightening, sad event.

6. Do have the slightest idea what you are talking about?
If you want to go on a rant to score political points out of this tragedy, that is your right, but a word of advice: get the facts first, then you can shamelessly demagogue with the facts and the evidence on your side.

7. I live just blocks from MS-13's territory
Buildings in my block have been tagged by them

I do not worry about Al Queda

I will never agree to give up any civil liberties to fight Al Queda when I am far more likely to be done in by a street gang

8. Let The Quality Of This Post
speak for it self. A very bad case of mixed ideologies with critical thinking missing.

10. Yeah, so prohibiting guns and allowing the black market of them is so much better
We already know what prohibition does with drugs. Do we want that with guns as well?

11. So your think laws against killing people aren't a deterrent, but gun laws are?
Yeah. :eyes:

Folks, it may not be a pleasant thing to hear, but frankly we're never going to be able to stop people from committing murder. Plain and simple. As long as there are guns, they'll use guns, and if they can't get one of those they'll use knives, axes, baseball bats. It happens every day. No amount of gun restrictions are really going to "fix" the problem or make it impossible. That's like asking for a way to guarantee that there are never any acts of terrorism again, or that nobody gets sick. It's a fact of life: we can't stop murder. The best thing we can do is to greatly reduce it, through the lessening of poverty and proper mental health treatment.
