I am glad they are fun to look at. They are much more striking in real life. It's almost all Youghiogheny Glass, donated from their scraps.

4. Very nice!
Will the columns be shown somewhere too? I liked the group effort there. More people need hands-on experience making beautiful things.

8. The columns stood 15 feet high.
100's of community members roamed in and out during the 10 week residency. The columns totaled 12, and represented smoke stacks.

14. I hope the project continues at another location
and they will come along. If they don't move on somewhere, I will look for somewhere they will not get in the way, they are mammoth, 4 big ones and then they diminish in size to look like they are far away.

25. You're absolutely right about that. Original Beautiful things.
We are a creativity starved cultures and Artists could lead the way (thank you, T.S. Eliot).

imho, we need Artists more than we need politicians and ministers/priests.

31. A former actress married to an artist and who have raised a musician...
So of course I totally agree. As the National Endowment for the Arts states: a Great Nation deserves Great Art. Wish they would live up to that great motto and sponsor more than they do and that someday our culture will recognize the importance of Art and Artists.

I would have this thought, "I'm just going to have fun!" they are making a documentary about the whole creation of the panorama. The rainbow one is also a steel worker spreading apart his ribs and exposing his heart.

58. Well, my dear husband puts up with horses everywhere
Live horses in the pasture, horse figurines in the cabinets, horse pictures all over the place. We do have a mural of some of our horses that were printed on tumbled marble as our back splash over the cooktop - that is as close as he would let me go towards a mosaic. I wanted a true mosaic there and was thinking of making one myself when he put his foot down. He gets his way with very few things so I let him make that decision.

40. I teach.
If you can get stained glass scraps and used windows, I'll teach you. There are only 3 rules.
1. pick glass that makes you happy.
2. glue everything close together.
3. let it dry flat.
