I might have gone 'round the bend, lost a few fries from my happy meal, or on to something

Ok, bear with me for a minute.

Naomi Klein published The Shock Doctrine, which describes tactics used by organized fascists. That is a bold strategy to use and was used by the neocons, but I think there's a more subtle strategy at work here.

The only hope of beating Democrats in the next election cycle is to hit the nerve of a huge wedge issue. The fundies are drumming up homophobia, but the reaction isn't strong enough to create the shock required to get the Democratic party to come out hard for gun control.

So you get Rash and Buck and others, hell they even got a Congresswoman, to whip up the survivalist element with the full knowledge that some are unstable enough to go on a rampage, especially with the added economic pressure.

These are some cruel bastards, I hope someone finds evidence of the orchestration of this strategy, it would make one hell of an article. Then there might be a case as accessories to murder.

Just some raw thoughts to sink or swim, what do you think?

Also, any form of real universal health care can't exist.
Homophobia is just to keep the whack-jobs in line for a while.

The don't get any real advantage of the US in ruins, do they? The population is pretty smart in knowing what party is obstructing something.

....Dems might beat themselves in the next election cycle by not delivering as promised....in 2010, the absolute worst thing you could say about Dems, is that there's no difference between us and repugs....

The rabidity of the RW will never cease to amaze me. Just check any Alaskan newspaper forum - they are there. Here in Fairbanks, they've decided that "concealed carry" isn't enough - they have "show your weapon" Fridays, where they walk around with pistols and such on the hips, swaggering (can't help that with the weight, but the women's butts are so big you can really SEE the swagger) in Fred Meyer's Produce Department.........

And I can outshoot and out hunt every damn one of them.....
