Free student software licenses for unemployed designers architects and engineers
Hi - I didn't know where exactly to post this but thought this might be of some interest, but received this from a landscape architecture group I belong to. I thought this might be helpful to some. I didn't read through solidworks, but autodesk will verify that you are unemployed and it is a 13 month student license - would help with retraining in current software while you look for a job.

AutoDesk and SolidWorks are giving away software licenses to designers, architects and engineers who have been put out by the recession. The following provides the details.

1. Cool, keeping up with skills.
I'm going to school in a similar field and currently can't even get work as an apprentice. I wonder if I'd qualify... it's good to keep up with skills, even if they are offshoreable.

2. FYI
The solidworks link is open to anyone.

The autodesk program is subject to verification of previous relevant employment.

3. thanks!
I'm almost done with my Solidworks night class at Springfield Tech. That is so nice of these companies to do this! I'm impressed!
