Current headlines on thefoxnation.com:
I'm not making these up:

"Virtual Anti-Tax Day Tea Party Right Here! Sound Off!"
"Is Homeland Security Targeting Tea Parties?"
"'Biggest Tax Protest in US History'"
"Tea Parties Good for GOP?"
"Hank Williams Jr. Exclusive Tea Party Anthem!"
"How Tea Parties Could Change American Politics"
"Tea Party Location Irks Vets?"
"All She Wants to Do Is Tax"
"Sign the Tea Party Mobile Petition!"
"Tea Parties a Test of Conservative Organizing"
"On Fox News Channel All-Day Coverage Anti-Tax Day Tea Party April 15"
"Tea Parties: A Great Part of American History - and America's Future"
"Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!"

.....Does this bother anyone else that a "news" organization is actively promoting protests like this? Isn't this blatantly partisan?

2. It's an Astroturf Movement
Faux is targeting their base audience with this, so of course they're going to promote it. I don't begrudge tehm it at all, in fact it makes me happy.

If the GOP does nothing but target its rabid base, it will become a permanent minority party.

5. Newspapers used to be sort of like blogs
Around the beginning of the country, you'd have Federalist papers and Democratic-Republican papers, etc. Every paper was "partisan" and you knew which were which.

But of course, this is when there were many, many more choices. Nowadays, how many TV news stations do you really have? For the whole country? CBS, NBC, ABC. Then CNN, MSNBC, and Fox. For all intents and purposes that's it. 6 news outlets.

Oh and the media today tries to pretend to be "objective." I'd have little problem if we had a rich diversity of news stations that were openly partisan, so long as they were open about it and didn't con people into thinking otherwise.

6. Fair and balanced .........
See how that works when you've got through the looking glass?

I have Faux News on my TV in here for the first time ever, and when I stop what I'm doing and listen to them, it's just absurd that these people are even allowed on the airwaves. I mean, the blatant stupidity, misinformation, disinformation, all delivered with a very disturbing undercurrrent of anger (which I don't understand except that they're really bad losers), it's all just appalling.

The people who listen to these geeks are seriously deficient...................

7. It's too bad the people
participating in these protests don't see the sick irony in the fact that a huge corporation is openly supporting this.
