What is DU really about?

I come here mostly to catch up on the news I might not get elsewhere, but I have always been amused at the wasteland of vanity posts and pissing contests that litter the landscape.


So what is DU really about?

I feel like I am drowning in an SB soaked towel.

This has been another episode of Simple Answers To Simple Questions.

Mostly, I don't have much to say unless something gets my interest up

This site has degenerated into a shithole.

Life, liberty, pursuit of booty, the usual.

of the people logged on in moment, their mood, position, humor, anger, frustration, most often political but not always so.

For some, it's an anchor, best friend, confidant, lover and social network.

For other it's entertainment, battle field, an avenue for expression and a source for news.


For me it's all of the above ...and home.

I thought Mr. Ford graduated with a degree in Philosophy, but who knows.

I do know every nook and cranny in that little town, down to the tunnels underneath the local bakery used by the underground railroad. It's truly bizarre that a town founded by a utopian socialist philosophy of Charles Fourier became the birth place of the republican party.

Pity those morals didn't hold true... until the last election that is, where I heard The Dem's won the most votes in the last election.... quite a statement of the times that.

This place has become a hostile nasty shit hole, where the Chic Special Interest Squad of the Left Wing come to attack and run off anyone who does not agree with their radical Left Wing Chic Special Interests. This squad keeps a list of all those who dare to speak out against their Chic Special Interests, and they will gang attack anyone who speaks up. A lot of posters have been run off in the last few years, but they are not going to be happy until they run everyone off who does not agree with them. Oh, and beware of the Chic Special Interest Squad serving as administrators, because they will target you as well, and they do allow the gang attacks.

The only thing the DU Chic Special Interest Squad has done, was make me strongly rethink whether I really do support any candidate who supports their Chic Special Interests. I will no longer be supporting straight Democratic tickets or always arguing for the Democratic Party regardless of the issue, because of the Chic Special Interest Squad, administrators supporting the Chic Special Interest Squad, and what the DU has turned into. They are doing their absolute best to raise the Republican Party back from defeat, while pissing on those who put the Democrats in power.

By all means administrators, go ahead and hide the truth, even though I just called a spade, a spade.

Sorry, but Democrats would control nothing, if it were not for the American Workers voting them in power. And yes, I have worked in construction all my life and I have seen what illegal workers have done to the construction workers of this country. They were forced out of their livelihoods by illegal workers.

All these 'rebuilding America' construction jobs... Are there any laws requiring that U.S. Citizens are to be employed on these jobs?

I have seen a lot of posters run off from this site the last few years for speaking out against illegal immigration, because they are gang attacked here, and I doubt that I will be here much longer, because I see exactly what I stated before. There are not a lot of opportunities in red states, but construction was one of them that you could once raise a family on. We have seen the position Democrats take on those who have taken and threatened our livelihoods. When people have lost their livelihoods, it doesn't matter whether the employer or the illegal worker took it away... The result was all the same. The Democrats will need working people to get re-elected, and that will not happen if the working people see Democrats sticking up for illegal immigration more than the working people. That is just the way it is, whether you like it or not.

I get tired of telling co-workers to quit worrying about "moral" issues that should not mean anything to them, while they are the first to be sacrificed when it comes down to illegal workers. When they see Democrats sacrifice them anyway, then my words to them meant nothing at all and they run back to their "moral" issues. We resolved the immigration problem back in the 80s, yet here we are again and the further up the ladder it goes. If the Democrats would only go after and punish the employers, then there would be no illegal immigration problem to worry about anymore, but that does not sit well with Chic Special Interest Groups.

And the ironic thing is that the Democrats NEED one specific interest group, but quickly push them away to make room for all the chic special interests that are the rage with Hollywood celebrities, upper class 'progressives,' and rising ethnic groups eager for a political party.

The Democratic Party would NOT control Congress or the White House without working class Americans. What are the Democrats doing for working class Americans?

No, don't tell me how the Democrats have leveled off what the Republicans have been doing. Tell me what the Democrats have been doing to push back all the right wing policies that have pushed this country far to the right, with regards to working class Americans. Sure things aren't just leveling off, like the Clinton years, just so another hard right shove can take place again?

And please tell me what rules have been put in place for all these rebuilding America construction jobs, which would require those jobs go to U.S. Citizens. Do not tell me that those are jobs Americans won't do, because everyone knows that is BS. Hmm... How much you want to bet that a Chic Special Interest has been placed over working class in this country, and no laws or rules have been put in place? I know it's such a taboo subject to mention on the DU, but it's still working people of this country being pushed aside by a Chic Special Interest, and exactly why I will not vote straight Democratic ticket anymore. And yes, I happen to know from experience that there is no produce to be picked at construction sites, but construction workers have been dislocated, decimated, and destroyed by illegal workers. But hey, as long as the DU gets to cheer about the 'taking back our country' mantra, all is well for the DU.
