Why no current Republican politicians out defending the torture? I have a theory
Here is what Lindsey Graham, the Republican senator from South Carolina, said of pictures and video after they were screened for members of Congress in 2004.

"The American public needs to understand we're talking about rape and murder here.' We're not just talking about giving people a humiliating experience,’ Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina told reporters after Rumsfeld testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee. ’We're talking about rape and murder -- and some very serious charges.’ -------Quote of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R)

They are afraid. Very afraid.

Sen. Lindsey Graham is a JAG officer and was duty bound to see that the people who did these things were punished for these War Crimes and he knows that. Not doing so makes him an accessory. I can imagine fellows like him are getting lawyered up right about now.

1. Graham could have done something back when it would have made
a difference. If he has any remaining sense of juty left in his whithered loins he must be having a great deal of trouble sleeping.

2. Don't recall any 'puke politician coming out and condemning torture: am I missing something
or are 'pukes unwilling to criticize even the most heinous acts of one of their own for whom they voted in virtual lockstep? Or do they like it too? ;)

3. They don't know whether to come out and condemn it or not?
About the time they come out in support of torture Seymour Hersh will be on every cable show telling what really happened and then they are sunk.

They are kind of hemmed in on this one.
