2. Absolutely Scared Shitless.
We have seen the just a glimpse of the torture that was implemented. I think its worse, I think it will rival some of the worst torturers in history, that is why they are afraid.

The men that committed these crimes could have been prosectuted and thrown into solitary confinement for the rest of their lives. But * and Cheney chose this path....and they invigorated terrorist recruiting.

9. Yeah exactly.
I think we've only begun to scratch the surface of Bushco crimes. The Nuremberg comparisons are absolutely just in my opinion.

3. Scared, perhaps, but I don't think in the same sense an ethical person would be
They can spin the prosecutions and violations of international law. It's politically motivated, divisive, waste of time and money, makes us less safe, etc.

They are afraid that torture will be discredited. Honestly, how many people feel sorry for the 9/11 masterminds? They don't worry about looking inhumane, and, pragmatically, they don't have much reason to worry. But if prosecution shows that torture is ineffective, provides false leads that waste our resources, and makes Americans less safe - all of which are true - then they will be scared. Like deregulation, tax cuts for the rich, and the Iraq war, it's another idea that they have hitched themselves to that has damaged the country.

Being the party of no ideas sucks. Being the party with solely bad ideas is even worse.

6. Something else..
Repubs *and* Dems are scared of what a real torture investigation will find..

Not that I think they really have anything to worry about, IMO the chances of a thorough investigation are about the same as hippopotami sprouting dragonfly wings and migrating from the Arctic to Antarctic bianually.

7. I doubt they're scared. In their minds...

... torture, no matter how gruesome or depraved, is acceptable. We could find evidence of memos allowing the rape children in front of their parents and they would still make excuses and charge Obama with being unpatriotic.

10. Not Scared. They are absolutist who believe they are right(correc t)
They believe we Democrats are utterly incapable of foreign policy
leadership. They believe given the opportunity they can "beat
the charges" in eyes of the American People. Fear on this subject-NO
As long as they can keep the subject Foreign Policy even if it
negative, they believe they can in the end win out.

Why do you think they have found every little picky thing possible
to find fault with Obama snd the foreign trips. Even Romney--Obama
is a failure at Foreign Policy.

No matter how we may dismiss their commentary--the American People
is hearing all the criticisms over and over and over. Remember
Goebbels. The people will believe even a lie if it is repeated
often enough.
