OK so exactly WHAT is holding up Franken now?
I keep passing by this and thinking that he's going to be put in his seat any day now but something is holding him up still.

Can someone explain the latest hold up to my little brain?

3. Appeal is pending.
Written testimony is due May 4th-ish, with oral arguments to follow about a week later. I could be wrong on the day.

6. The MN SC does not begin the oral arguments until June 1.
MN law prevents the state from issuing a certificate of election until the MN appeals process is finalized. The Senate is not allowed to seat people as Senators unless they have been elected or appointed by the states.

17. Still receiving Franken phone calls
I've given money to the Franken team at least twice, and so I've been receiving frequent calls asking for more donations for the legal fund. However, despite stories in the MSM about various Repug entities giving $$$ to Coleman to support YARET (yet another Republican election theft), I've somehow missed those about the Democratic orgs coughing up similar amounts to help Franken keep what he rightfully won back in November. Therefore, I'm not giving any more money to the Franken team until I see some proof that the Dem bigwigs are doing what they can to help out.

Have I just missed those stories? Links, anyone?

TIA,
DT

21. right...but what about $$$ for Franken's legal efforts?
The MN SC answer has already been given, but I'm hoping people will be able to provide useful answers to my question about sources of money to defend this:
