Unbelievable!
Michael Steele is defending the republicans for cutting pandemic funding by saying that nobody knew that we would have a pandemic! I thought Kyra Phillips (CNN) was going to fall off her chair!

Michael Steele, the gift that keeps on giving!

3. Why would we want to anticipate possible problems? That's dumb.
We should only scramble to fix problems after they're so enormous we can't do anything about them.

6. That's why republicans don't believe in government.
Because they could never imagine that shit happens. Yet, almost invariably, shit happens. And somehow republicans are always surprised.

10. Yeah, just like nobody knew volcanoes might erupt.
And nobody knew that natural disasters might happen.

Classic GOP. If you can't prove it's going to happen on a particular calendar date, they take it as proof it will *never* happen.

I'm surprised they aren't all chain smokers. Hey, 2/3 of them don't get lung cancer!

12. Heck of a job, Mikey!
Maybe the reason the repukes didn't want to fund pandemics is because they ascribe to Kissinger's theory of "useless eaters", and just figured a pandemic would be a great way to cull the population. Fewer people, fewer gov't. programs, less money expended.

15. I sometimes wonder how these Republican's dress themselves in the morning.
If it's cold out do they dress in shorts and flip-flops then step out and get hit with a blast of sub-zero wind? Do they leave home after sundown with sunglasses on only to bump into trees and buildings before they realize it's dark out? They seem completely detached from even the smallest perception of reality and common sense.

19. MIchael Steele: "Nobody could have predicted winter!!!"
Steele insisted in an interview earlier today that "nobody could have predicted that winter would follow autumn!" Noting that this year's balmy autumn weather lasted well into October, Steele insisted that "nobody would have ever expected us to be experiencing sub-freezing temperatures a mere two months after the gorgeous weather we had on Halloween!" Steele brushed aside reporters' questions about the Farmer's Almanac, ridiculing the suggestion that anybody would consider it a serious source of information. "This is the 21st century in America. We don't look to the past. Just because winter has always followed autumn in the past is no reason to assume it would be the same this year!"
