Kentucky Senate Primary Could GO GALT

We’ve already set aside several boxes of popcorn for one of 2010’s most anticipated comedy stories, when idiot Kentucky Sen. Jim Bunning will make a fool of himself daily in the process of losing his Senate seat. And now the hilarity might start even sooner, because Ron Paul’s child, Rand (”The Son”), might primary Bunning. Rand Paul has the exact same views as his father, so it should take about two minutes of money supply babble before Bunning gets uncomfy and calls Rand a faggot.

Things could get interesting around here.

Rand Paul spoke at the University of Kentucky recently, I wondered why since his Dad's campaign was long over. And I was driving down the Nicholasville Rd. here in Lexington last week and saw a guy in a pick-up truck with a gigantic "Paul 2008" sign in the back with the "8" covered up with a home made "9". I just thought I had imagined it for a minute and had to look again when we both got stuck at a red light.

The Democrats likely to run are pretty sane, at least compared to the other side!

5. Why do all the Randians want to be in the government they hate so much?

Why don't they follow their mythical hero into the wild and leave the rational people alone?

I guess sucking at the government teat living off taxpayer money doesn't arouse a sense of hypocrisy in these fools.

being architects, running railroads, and inventing stuff. Mysteriously, they all seem to end up in government and wall street.

As DU's resident Ayn Rand apologist, I have remarked for a long time that Ayn Rand would publicly disown clowns like Greenspan and Ron Paul if she could see them today. They are so clearly the epitome of failed-upward useless parasites that she had such contempt for.

9. I guess lobbying the government for tax breaks,

earmarks from congress for their private companies, giving bribes and kickbacks to get those government contracts, getting sweetheart deals from military contractors in return for cushy jobs for the generals pushing their latest piece of junk, keeps them too busy to realize that they are the very type of people Rand despised.

All self-made men and rugged individualist, however. No public money into their coffers, no sirree!
