3. I'm saying "probably" . . . I'm guess that they keep trying . . .
not every part of the White House -- doubt they're interested in the kitchens . . .

maybe only the bedrooms and bathrooms -- ???!!!

4. OTHER: What do you mean by "bugged?"
Do you mean that the Russkies/Chinese/Israelis/Iranians/Saudi Arabians/Players to Be Named Later have planted surreptitious devices in the building to record conversations?

Or do you mean the President has installed, as a memory aid or a memoir aid, an LBJ-style phone recorder, or a Nixonian full-bore office taping system?

Either is a possibility, neither is likely. IMO.

6. I'm not talking about a self-installed "memory prompt"... I'm
talking about "other" installed.

10. By a foreign government or some agency opposed to the WH agenda, then.
I think "No." They sweep regularly; a device would be discovered.

12. Do you think many Presidents have left a little "something something"
behind for the incoming administration? I'll bet J. Edgar put stuff all over the place.

14. They have exterminators who come through all the time. Anything left would be discovered
in fairly short order, I think. I would HOPE, anyway!!!

I know the custom has been for each President to leave a note in the desk for the next President, but bugs? Naaah. Back in the Hoover days, they mostly ran on batteries that died eventually. Less often, they were wired into the electrical system.

I don't think a single President who knew the mendacity of Hoover left the bugsweeping duties to the FBI while JEH was running that joint. More likely he used the WH Communications office Agency, which was mostly military.

5. Doubtful.
I'm sure it's regularly swept. One can listen today with sophisticated listening devices that do not require placement of bugs physically inside the location.

7. The bug is installed on that top top top top secret Pentagon gasoline engine
which gets 6,000 MPG but was disappeared because it would kill the oil industry.

16. I meant the meeting with Hillary at the table by the play set or the
cell phone call outside the WH at a little table.
