Who controls the government?

In the USA it's ultimately big business, ergo no "Socialism".
It's called Fascism at that point isn't it?

That about sums it up.

Companies "too big to fail" are by default a branch of the central Government.

The Reich Oligarchs and their Reichsprole foot soldiers, through their wholly owned subsidiary the 'Republican' party, have stridently supported deregulation/consolidation.

Therefore, I can only reach the conclusion that Republicans are Communists.


Seriously, we probably have a bit of both, with the added 'benefit' to the average working stiff that our current system privatizes profits and socializes risk. Then again, the Soviets were not much different, in that the high party officials did not seem to do without as the system lost momentum.
