I don't care about Edwards' house, but I do care about his positions and, to date, he has supported the Iraqi War and the Patriot Act, failed to introduce any legislation that would benefit the poor, talks to gatherings about invading Iran and let's everyone believe he grew up dirt poor instead of upper middle class.

Those are REAL issues and should be considered.

I don't want to fantasize about being the President's "friend" and I don't even want to worry about whether the President is someone with whom I'd even want to be friends. I don't care if he/she is or is not the kind of guy/gal I'd want to have a beer with him. What matters is what the President does in an official capacity, what his policies are and how he implements them. I don't care about what he chooses to do as an individual citizen as long as he does his job in representing the people in Washington.
