1. Naw, take a bow ..........
The kid did good, and he'll go out and do good things in the world.

You'll see to that, right?

Otherwise, the cred gets lifted ...................

3. Hell No!
You love your nephew and went to share his moment of celebration and joy.

Who knows, maybe HE will be one of those who introduces a more humane and EMPATHETIC employee relations model!

Best of luck to your young nephew in his new careet!

PEACE!

4. No. Sam Walton was a hero to the working class, once upon a time.
He wanted to sell good stuff, American made, cheap. So "regular" folks could afford it.

Real liberals look beyond the labels. What will determine your nephew's fate is what he does with the education he received.

11. He was the original "Made In America" guy...
I really think that some of the stuff coming out about WalMart's third world dealings would disgust him.

7. Sam Walton was a business genius and a helluva good guy,
regardless of what you think of the WM empire of today.

10. You did stand up and wave a red flag during the ceremony, didn't you?
Or at least lead a chant of "El Pueblo, Unido, Jamas Sera Vencido"?

:sarcasm:

You're still cool. We all have family things where we have to make temporary adjustments.

The bars close too early here, but it if weren't for the license plates and the fact that the Walmarts sell groceries, I would think that I'd never left New Jersey.

WaWa = Kum and Go
$1.91 per gallon regular = $2.09 per gallon regular
3:00 AM bar closing = 1:30 AM Bar Closing
Garden State Parkway = Route 540
Jughandles = Yield on green when making left turn
rock clubs = churches
churches = Super Walmarts
strip malls = strip malls
Atlantic City = Branson
Tillie = razorback hogs

But seriously, folks, I had a ball. And I'm not worried about by nephew's Walton sponsorship hurting my lib-cred anymore--my not being on a no-fly list took care of that!

14. Did they teach "Outsourcing 101"?
I bet they spent a whole semester on how to avoid paying taxes.

17. Fortunately, he switched his emphasis to Finance
Edited on Mon May-11-09 12:29 PM by rocktivity
He wants to create what he calls "financial literacy," especially in minority communities. At least I can take comfort in that!
