Dental care in short supply for low-income Wisconsin children
http://www.jsonline.com/business/44649342.html

Lucia Alba knew something was wrong when her son said his teeth hurt while eating an apple.

Her son, 7 years old at the time, had abscesses, or infections, in two of his teeth.

He had never been to a dentist. Neither had his siblings.

"I stopped trying, because every time I called up the dentist, I would get the same answer," Alba said. "All the time. They weren't accepting my insurance. They had a long waiting list."

given the choice.

Two big things that keep me from longing for the "good old days"

1) Dentistry

2) Obstetrics

Broadbrush much?

This story is a heartbreak. The system might be screwed up, but that's no reason to badmouth an entire profession. If Americans really wanted universal health care of some sort, then we would have it.

Dr Mika.

4. What an opportunity
for WI community organizers! Call every dentist in the phone book and ask them to donate a couple of hours a week for low/no income families. Prioritize emmergency care. Publish the names of those dentists in your local newspaper (ask newspaper to do it for free). Set up a WI "free emmergency dental care for children" website. YES WE CAN!

5. same story in NY. same story every State, no doubt. and same story for many "middle-class"
who's "health insurance" doesn't cover any or enough dental care. A rich nation with rotten teeth, that's us.

National Health, Single-Payer, whatever we want to call it, is the only answer, and our entire Congress and Administration is owned by Banksters and the Vampires of the insurance industry.
