Republicans Declare 2010 as Year of the Bible
Obviously because there is nothing more important in America right now. All our troops are home safe, trading flowers and off color jokes with our friends the Mexicans at the border, children dance and sing in the street (when they're not getting straight A's in Math and Science in our state of the art schools) and all of us live to be 100 under our everyone is equal health system. Amiright?

Rep. Paul Broun has introduced a resolution to encourage Obama to declare that 2010 is The Year Of The Bible. Now, excuse me if I'm wrong about this, but I thought 2010 was going to be the Year of the Tiger.

Is anyone else sick of living in the United States of Jesustan? And, um, why are these 14 Congresscritters wasting their time with silly stuff like this when we've occupied 2 foreign countries and our economy is in the tank? Is it because they think the only possible way out of the mess the Republicans created is to pray? I mean, that's SLIGHTLY less obnoxious than being merely the "party of no" but it still doesn't get us anywhere.

Cosponsors:
Rep. Lynn Westmoreland
Rep. John Carter
Rep. James Forbes
Rep. John Gingrey
Rep. Zach Wamp
Rep. Todd Akin
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter
Rep. Mike Pence
Rep. Louis Gohmert
Rep. Trent Franks
Rep. Jim Jordan
Rep. Doug Lamborn
Rep. Kenny Marchant

3. Going back the "you must be a republican to be Christian" meme?
Both the republican party and churches will be empty.

5. It's a bummer for the Bible to get associated with a gang of no-hopers like the Republicans
If I were the author, I'd sue.

What's a year (especially one with a mid-term election) when compared to eternity?

9. Which version will they select to push?
Probably the worst translation: The King James version with it's concentration on demons and witches.

13. More pretending from the CINO's
(gotta love the new word--Christians In Name Only).

What about the year of the Constitution, as obviously they have no idea what's actually in it.
