And on cue Joe Scum and Buchanan follow the talking points
They will ignore Wanda and go for Pres Obama.
One of the hacks will ask Gibbs if Obama thought the joke about Rush's kidneys was funny. Politico has already posted their talking point.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=5629232&mesg_id=5629389

Joe Scum already called Gibbs for an explanation. Poor Joe Scum who has the attention span of a flea credited Obama with one of Wanda's lines.

It's way to easy to predict what these 'morans' will spew any given day.

2. huh? Seems to me they have been very positive about Obama's performance
Buchanan gave him an "A" - or "A+". Said he thought he was very good. Joe was also very positive in his comments.

They did not ignore Wanda.

oh wait - I get it. The token Joe-Bash.

3. This thread is not about how they rated Obama's performance
Romantico's OP stated that 'Tomorrow Wanda Sykes Will Be Trashed By the Right' and my response was that they would go for Obama laughing at her comment about Rush's kidneys.

11. I guess I was reacting to the
"It's way to easy to predict what these 'morans' will spew any given day" comment.

4. Morning Joe has become Joe's campaign focus group
He's deciding which office he can run for and how much GOP bullshit he can sell.

7. Why do they even have to ask if Limpballs is a fair target?
At least Mika did.

And, when they were showing after-party stills just now, was that DONALD RUMSFELD in one of them? If not, it could have been his twin; if not, then what the hell was he doing there?

10. Gregory - "America is split on torture, down the middle, 50/50"
What the hell question is it, where half the country is "just fine" about torture?

How many sub-clauses, "ifs" "buts" and "ors" are IN that question? Which poll?

God I hate that Gregory is held up as a "newsman". .

13. Torture is illegal
I wonder if he'd say the country was split 50-50 about bank robberies or shooting your neighbor's barking dog.

14. That was right before Joe chimed in that at least half of the country would trust Cheney...
...before they would a Democrat.

You can't make this stuff up, but apparently they do.

And as for Gregory...what do you expect?

and why Cheney had a popularity rating of 13%.

19. Sorry, but I tend to disagree. I have heard/seen too much from the
"take my liberty, I'm scared to death" good, solid Americans out there. I know they make more noise than the other points of view, but this is one I have heard over and over again almost throughout my entire sentient life, certainly since I became active in politics way back during Vietnam.

Do you remember, years ago, the saying "The Constitution is not a suicide pact"? I do and that was way before the torture issue recently.

I am sure there are shades of opinion and that Gregory is oversimplifying. But he's on TV and we aren't and I can bet you that if I were to go out and ask ten people at random that question I would get more in favor than against torture "to keep us safe." And I live in a liberal city -- I know if I went to the Yale campus not too far from my house I would get a different response, tho!

12. Chris Matthews said Sykes joke was "over the line" too.
How come I feel like whenever Rush says something offensive (and he has actual political power) , the reporters are more like "was it over the line?" than "it was over the line" (though, I guess because they were there at the WH dinner), John King said the other day "Now, I rarely give my opinion on these things, but I thought it was too much, and many others cringed too." Why, what an interesting subject to "finally give your opinion on ". Blehhh. They have to kiss his ass because he's rich, Sykes line really wasn't any worse than something Colbert would say on a given night.

16. That is all they have talked about this morning and -no surprise here- the first question
to everyone on the show is "Was that over the line?" so the guest has to pin themselves down on one side or the other

Wanda Sykes suddenly is the most important person in the world :eyes:

17. and at the end
of course, (right after everyone farting on about Dick Cheney and free speech), Joe said he learned that it was ok to joke about organ failure as long as that person is conservative. Yeah, the fact that the said conservative repeatedly makes racist and mean spirited jokes under the guise of the funnies (and has actual political power, unlike Wanda) has nothing to do with it, Joe.

18. It's over the line of a woman of color says it.
But if a white male racist who's on the radio everyday makes a remark, it's not 'over the line' but 'free speech'. :eyes:
