Republicans are Defective

Just look at the evidence.

8 years of over-the-top spending, fiscal management of the worst kind, and what do they protest? The Black President trying to fix what their boy did.

More than a decade of their loudest voice spewing hatred and vitriol and, often, what would amount to assault if it were done on the street, and what do they decide to protest? A female black comedian turning the tables on him and giving him a taste of his own medicine--and it wasn't oxycontin.

"Drugs are bad." Well, except for drugs pushed by the pharmaceutical companies on anyone they can get to take them. They've became like street pushers in lab coats. Outrage? Hell, no--they're more outraged by a guy taking a bong-hit than by some whacked-out prescription drug addict careening across the airwaves spewing filth in his wake.

"Single payer healthcare is socialism and will ruin America's healthcare system." Are you fucking insane? How could it GET any worse? CUBA has better healthcare than we do. CUBA. They're driving fifty year old cars, yet they LIVE LONGER than we do and have a lower infant mortality rate.

WAKE THE FUCK UP.

They protest with obviously racist signs (I mean, seriously? "What you talking about, Willis?" Does Obama LOOK like Gary Coleman--even a little bit?) and freak out when they're called out on it. Oh, maybe they're not all racist, but they don't mind hobnobbing with those who are. I'm pretty sure skin color doesn't rub off, but that kind of shit can be frightfully contagious. Ignoring it is not all that different from showing approval. Tolerance, apparently, is only due people NO ONE should tolerate.

Nature? Screw it. If it can't be paved over, drilled into, plowed up, shot down, or carved up like a Christmas goose, the conservatives couldn't fucking care less. Hey, how 'bout we just cut out the middle man. Take a trip to where your grandchildren live, reach into their cribs, and pour cyanide straight into their cute little mouths. Your attitudes and prejudices are killing them anyway--why waste time and energy doing it the hard way?

Corporations are NOT naturally more efficient or benevolent than government. Anyone who thinks so obviously hasn't WORKED for a large corporation. The "bottom line" is about as humanizing as a Terminator 1000. Government, at least, has to make an effort to ACT as though it gives a shit about us.

30% of this country is batshit crazy. Utterly defective. And they're so loud and obnoxious, they're ruining it for everyone else--not only now, but for generations to come. Don't get me wrong. I don't think we should shut them up. We need to HELP them. Someone needs to help them.

I'm all for reaching across the aisle...and dragging them off to somewhere where they can get the help they so desperately need. I'm telling you, I think it's a kind of psychosis. And it's not getting any better. Defeat hasn't done anything to wake them up. If anything, they're loonier than ever. And as helpful as it might be when it comes to getting the attention of those who don't pay very good attention... it's damaging as hell to us all in the long run.

I don't even understand why folks try reaching out to them or dealing with them in a rational fashion. They are not rational. They are not logical. They are amoral. Many are not able to properly function in adult society. So why don't we tell the truth and shove them over into the margins where they belong.
