Freepers find a fault in Cheney! WTF?
Dick Cheney backs Jeb Bush for president

Former Vice President Dick Cheney said on Tuesday he would back former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush if he decided to run for president.

“I like Jeb. I think he's a good man. I'd like to see him continue to stay involved politically,” Cheney said during an interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto. “I'd probably support him for president.”

Cheney insisted that he’s “not in the business of endorsing anybody at this point,” but said that he’s “a big fan of Jeb's.”

------------

Some comments:

The United States has been Bushwhacked twice. That’s enough.

If this happens we really are slipping into a South American oligarchy.

Sorry Mr. Cheney, I have the highest amount of respect for you, but I really don't want a "dynasty."

Jeb might be a good guy, but surely we have some others out there.

This is an absurd thing for Cheney to do.

Can we please move along now, past the Bushes AND the Cheneys and get back to Reagan already?

Or someone AT LEAST as Reaganesque?

Reagan was the best president we’ve had in recent history, but you know, like the others, he still had a penchant for deficit spending...

Everyone on this thread makes me embarrassed to call myself a conservative . . . It makes me wonder why I expend so much energy every day battling the TRUE ENEMIES OF CONSERVATISM: the Marxist, Chomsky-ites who comprise 95% of the professoriate on the university level and probably 80% of the teachers at the K-12 level.

GET A CLUE PEOPLE: If we don’t start winning more battles within academe, our war for the cultural soul of this country will be lost for generations to come. FYI: Both Bush brothers have battled the K-16 education elites/unions and won — even though most on this thread have bought the ‘talker’ propaganda to the contrary . . . And what do they get for their trouble — ridicule from the unappeasables on the right . . . Pathetic is too weak an adjective.

3. Well, for the Freeps, I guess that's a step forward.
Now maybe eventually they'll put it together that Reagan, Nixon, Ford (the placeholder) and even Ike were Bush Crime Family presidents as well as Poppy and Dumbass were.

5. Ha!
This is really interesting.

It actually looks like some of them are (sort of) starting to wake up. The Reagan worship is scary but they're actually turning on Cheney and the Bushes.

Then you've got the holdouts like that last one who is still fighting the culture wars.

This is a microcosm of the war that is going on within the Republican party.

7. Well Cheney was never that popular with them anyway...
His approval ratings even among Republicans were always lower than Shrub's. It is interesting that most of them have turned on the Bush crime family.

9. and the reason they hate Bush now is because Jeb said they need to forget about Reagan
so after everything the Bush family has done, especially the past 8 years they no longer want to support them because Jeb said they need to forget about Reagan.

10. Well, any chance Jeb winning the presidency has been destroyed.
An endorsement by Charlie Manson would do less damage to Jeb's chances.
