Right winger says hate crime laws will make it illegal to reject advances by gay people
Edited on Wed May-13-09 05:22 AM by ck4829
"I've also had to push away unwelcome advances. If that unwelcome advance were to come from someone of the same sex or someone who is on the APA list of sexual deviances, according to H.R.1913 and S.909, I would be a felon for pushing them away. So would you – unless you rise up to stop this insidious bill now."

2. Projection of deepest desires....
It's his/her fantasy of being "raped" and being able to say, "I was forced to perform those gay sex acts!"

3. This is nuts
Do existing sex discrimination laws make it illegal to reject the advances of someone of the opposite sex?

4. What about saying 'no'?
If the 'advance' continues with touching it is sexual harrasement. These guys are idiots. He needs to re-read the bill.

5. Why are these right wingers so convinced that a guy is going to come up and proposition them?
This Repug ass I used to go to college with once said, "I don't really have a problem with gay people but one of them better not try to hit on me."
My response was, "What makes you think a gay guy would be interested in you?"
He seemed perplexed and a little hurt, which was my goal.

8. Just how hard does this person think it's OK to push someone away?
A polite "no thanks" is sufficient in nearly all cases.
