You didn't have the will to Stop Bushco crimes; now "What is Torture?" trumps other Bushco CRIMES
You did not have the will to Investigate/Stop Bushco crimes; now arguments over what is Torture supersede other CRIMES Bushco committed:

Violations of FISA which have been admitted and many others documented for YEARS........................................

Today our new president makes a statement that sounds very canned and controlled: new releases of torture photos will not add to awareness about torture and may inflame........................................

Why should this surprise us? Of course his comments and actions are carefully controlled.

And we -- We The People and our Elected Representatives --- who refused to hold the previous administration accountable when it counted -- we are responsible.

Just like every time we have bought the lie and the time before that and the time before that.

Let's argue over what is or is not harsh or another insufficient adjective for actual torture; let's argue over whether new photos that augment the previous horrendous photos will inform or inflame; let's argue over whether "good" information may or may not be obtained from "harsh" techniques...

While we ignore the CRIMES that were committed and admitted by an administration that remains unexamined, uninvestigated and unaccountable, to this day.

Now, it is torture watching the grand poo bahs torture the English language and pretend to be heading toward something besides the nearest exit...

And it is harmful to watch our president speak in circumscribed and restrained terms, in service to his office and to the larger forces that control our government.

3. You mean the 'next' election..
when we vote them out won't fix everything? I've about given up on this shit. There appears to be no willingness at all for people to do the very least they can and contact those people who represent them. It's all a game, a spectator sport, with the tv deciding who gets to play and acting as the referee...and the crowd cheers and jeers.
