Listening to C-span callers this morning, I just had to say that.

Seems illogical to me. Does not compute.

2. Now How Safe Are We, Really???
Anyone who thinks this country is safer now thanks to the war crimes committed by the boooosh regime deserves to try out a waterboard and let's see how safe they feel. Their regime destroyed this country's international standing and credibility...and now are trying to palm off all their crimes as either being "legitimate" or someone elses fault/problem.

A great call from a rushpublican a moment ago...how ignorant many GOOPers are about the real story of what went on. They're in their bubble world of Jack Bauer and Rambo...totally detached from reality and prevented from hearing/seeing the truth by their propaganda machine.

The bottom line is the GOOPers want/need to believe that up is down, black is white and torture is good...to take responsibility for their party's corruption is not in their MO.

4. So let's follow the inane logic? If we don't publish the pictures, WE did NOT Torture.

I hope these pictures are released ASAP.

It's time we FACED UP to our HORRID history and make OUR PEOPLE who condoned, ordered and committed TORTURE accountable. NOW!

THE WORLD IS WATCHING: Justice delayed is justice denied.

People HERE can continue to "adore" Obama, but the World Leaders will turn him "OFF" if he continues with the obfuscations and denial of investigations and prosecutions.

5. I'm Sorry - But Obama Is Coming Off A Inconsistent On This Whole Issue.......
he should release the pictures and say that this was the old U.S. and under me that this won't happen again under his lead.

I can see that he might be being backed into a corner on this because if anything happens by way of more suicide bombings or attacks by Al Quida or the Taliban - the Repugs will point to the release of these pics and say that it was Obama's fault because he released these pics.

I believe he needs to stick to his guns. Release the pics. Blame any escalation afterwards on the past administration and say that we will never do this again. Start with a clean slate.

7. the only "safety" at question here, regardless of Obama's lies yesterday,
is the safety of members of the ruling elite from prosecution for war crimes.

10. It's not about the pictures making the troops unsafe but about making the Bushies unsafe.
Edited on Thu May-14-09 10:39 AM by Kablooie
That is who Obama is protecting.

He doesn't want to be forced into prosecuting the Bushies.
