2. Is treatment mandatory? Will it in some cases require being restricted against your will?

if treatment is mandatory what happens if it doesn't work - do you stay in treatment?

4. I've worked in treatment centers before, and while there were people
there under court order, they were not locked up, restrained, or anything.

Ultimately, if they wanted to leave, they could leave.

There were consequences of that; i.e., they went to jail.

But they were not "restricted" from leaving if that's what they really wanted to do.
