Olberman doesn't have anything to explain to me about the period after his mother's death.

KO did a first-rate job tonight, taking apart those sleazy fuckers, but he lost me - alas - when he equated Wanda Sykes's jokes about Rush Limbaugh with his mother's death. Sorry, KO, but they're not comparable, not at all. Your mother was a private citizen, your family member, who did not seek publicity.

Rush is a fat fuck who makes his living bleating his hateful spew onto the airwaves - an entertainer who's being confused for someone of substance, not counting his fat ass. He deserves every bit of taunt and ridicule and mockery and insult that anyone can throw at it, and I'll applaud all of it, over and over.

There is no line that can be crossed as far as insulting Limbaugh goes, at least for me, because his hate speech is without boundaries, so I'll go along with that and declare him an infinite target. Nothing is in bad taste, nothing can be too personal, nothing is a cheap shot or undeserved.

when Olbermann was off a few times recently I just assumed he was taking care of something or other related to his mother's recent death. How was I to know it was all part of a larger plot to .... do something.

We all deal with grief differently. When my father died unexpectedly, the family went to a restaurant after the funeral and spent the evening telling stories about him and laughing hysterically: I'm sure some other diners may have thought us callous or unfeeling, but for us it was remembering the good times. If baseball games do it for Keith, that's his business. I'm glad for him his bosses are so reasonable.
