If you want single-payer health-care, now would be the best time to let your Senators know
Health-care reform is going to get hammered out in August, early fall at the latest, in both houses of Congress simultaneously from what people in the know are saying. And so far, both the President and Congress are acting as if single-payer health-care is off the table. I don't know about you, but in my family there are two people who can't get private insurance to save their lives, all because pre-existing conditions either make them completely ineligible or push their rates up so high that we can't afford it on our present budget. And there are millions of other Americans out there who are in the same situation as my family. They desperately need a public alternative to the disgrace that passes for health-care in OUR country right now.

We have not had a chance like this since '93, and who knows when another chance will come up! If there is something you want included in the upcoming health-care reform bill, now is the time to let your Senators know. The vote is going to be much closer in the Senate than the House, so that is where the pressure should be focused.

My family thanks you and I also thank you in advance for getting involved!

4. Judd Gregg doesn't care if we live or die and our new senator,
Shaheen, is a Republican in Democrat's clothing. I wrote her a long, heartfelt email about this very issue and what did I get in return? The standard BS letter thanking me for my interest. Only once have I ever gotten a personal response from a member of the Congress and I think that was because I caught him on one of his first days in office.
