Analysis: Democrats' security feud may cost them
Source: Associated Press

WASHINGTON – Democrats just can't seem to get on the same page on national security — and it could cost them dearly on an issue Republicans have dominated for decades.

Increasingly, President Barack Obama and Democrats who run Congress are being pulled between the competing interests of party liberals and the rest of the country on Bush-era wartime matters of torture, detention and interrogation of suspected terrorists.

The Democratic Party's struggle over how to position itself on these issues is threatening to overshadow Obama's ambitious plans for energy, education and health care. It's also keeping the country looking backward on the eight years of George W. Bush's presidency, much to the chagrin of the new White House. And, it's creating an opening for an out-of-power GOP in an area where Democrats have made inroads.

5. LOL! AP, FOX and Obama fighting it out in the same pigsty for the same pigs
If republican's gain momentum its going to be because Obama is alienating the grass roots reformers who did all the grunt work to get him elected.

Mid-terms will be interesting, people will be comfortable voting republican again because there is very little distinction shown at this point. If nothing else they'll say how you need the republicans to keep Obama on the right track and the USA is mostly a republican country its only their pressure that is keeping the republican agenda alive and well. And given the priorities of Obama's agenda I would have to agree. Nothing but apathy toward 30% credit card rates, private company de-regulation of insurance and health care, wall street bailouts without serious oversight, on and on.
