Hey Religious Right, Suck on this, Missing Evoultion Link found

Scientists have unveiled a 47-million-year-old fossilised skeleton of a monkey hailed as the missing link in human evolution.

They say its impact on the world of palaeontology will be "somewhat like an asteroid falling down to Earth".

Researchers say proof of this transitional species finally confirms Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, and the then radical, outlandish ideas he came up with during his time aboard the Beagle.

1. Support for the theory of evolution is not hanging on the discovery of the missing link.

The idiots among us will find a way to turn away from evolution despite the overwhelming evidence. One more link in the chain will be meaningless to them.

However I am not part of the political group that people call the Religious Right

Edit: note that there are good people on the Right also, I do think it is the politicizing of it and the fact it was in the OP title that made me make the above comment. I also have political opinions, and when asked I am closer to most Democratic ideas then Republican ideas, but there are good and bad in people on both sides, and that would include the ideas of the right.

5. Yeah, no kidding.

People have OBSERVED evolution, particularly in species that reproduce quickly and have short life spans. The Peppered Moth in industrial England is the classic case.

the one at LGF are in 100% agreement. Say it isn't so that we have common ground. Although we do have a common ancestor.

But if it makes you feel any better (to hate the right), Rush Limbaugh has already call this BS.
