SCARBOROUGH has been conducting a non-stop swiftboating of PELOSI for the past couple of weeks. What's wrong with this picture, let's see: The persons who conducted the actual torture have gotten off Scot free by the President's word; the lawyers who faked the legal cover for it, only MIGHT, at the MOST, face some little bar association thingy, if anything; and, of course, BUSH-CHEENEE, who ORDERED it, will face NO consequences at all-----and yet, it is PELOSI who did NOT torture and did NOT authorize it and did NOT order it whose head might roll?! Again, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?!

I didn't like Jesse VENTURA before but when he faced down HASSELBECK on The View he said that he EXPERIENCED water boarding during training as a Navy SEAL and that it IS torture AND that if it were in his power he would PROSECUTE and JAIL those in the BUSH-CHEENEE establishment who performed it, those who justified it "legally" and those who ordered it. So what was SCARBOROUGH's response? Oh, a repetition of an ad hominem attack on VETURA, to the effect that VENTURA has NO knowledge of what he's saying (oh, EXPERIENCING it is nothing) and that VENTURA is a loser who failed miserably at MSNBC with only one airing of a show for which he took $2 million. Oh, and the usual canard that "it" and Shrub "kept us safe for eight years," HAH!

And SCARBOROUGH has gone into white-hot, scorched earth territory joining LIMBAUGH, HANNITY, and O'REILLY while claiming to be a moderate.

and I was suggesting that instead of trying to change him and his hard and fast rethuglican ideas, that you stop empowering him by turning him off. In the past I was always mad at someone: Pat Buchanan, Carvile, Matlin......., but instead of writing emails that will be deleted by some assistant of theirs with one click after you have spent your time and effort trying to get your ideas organized in an email, I was suggesting that maybe you try turning them off for a while.

You are not going to change Joe Scab, enlighten the head brass at M$NBC to fire him, or win any arguments with anyone over there. All you are going to do is get mad and waste time.

And most posters here put time, energy, and passion into positing a topic for discussion, and it is disheartening for it to often be that the VERY FIRST POST is one that unloads off-topic crap that squelches the thread and the topic, complete with banal "advice" like "turn off the t.v." like THAT has *never* been posted THOUSANDS of times (if not millions), not to mention giving unasked for advice AND unqualified "psychological anaysis" about who I'm mad at and who is not going to be changed by my e-mail. (I'm pretty angry with YOU about now, btw.)



I have asked that this off-topic sub-thread be Deleted, but more than likely the entire thread will be closed, an innocuous little thread that had its own little right to exist alongside the thousands of others.

First BahBwah WahWah said that "all of them, BUSH, CHEENEE, POWELL------even with GOOD INTENTIONS---lied" so (something like) why is PELOSI being treated differently.


Then BECK came on, and they played a clip where he did a weird voice impersonation of BahBwah and alleged that she "called him over" at a function and that she and Whoopi said something ugly to him about how he was soon going to be on the View and would get his come-uppance. It turned out that they never called him over and didn't threaten him and Whoopi just raised her voice and asked him why he LIED about them!1
