Another leading Republican strategist has voiced concerns about the direction of the GOP.

John Weaver, a top adviser to Utah Governor John Huntsman, said this week that the Republican party is headed for an electoral "blowout" if it continues to be defined by "Palin and Limbaugh and Cheney."

The Washington Examiner reported:

"If it's 2012 and our party is defined by Palin and Limbaugh and Cheney, then we're headed for a blowout," says strategist John Weaver, who advised Huntsman and was for years a close adviser to Sen. John McCain. "That's just the truth."

have a chance. The Dems are so busy pissing their pants when someone raises an eybrow that I won't vote for them anymore. I am renouncing my party affiliation as a registered Dem because I just don't see the difference where it counts. Healthcare, torture. the constitution, torture, etc. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...I am returning to my Green affiliation and, frankly, I don't care if we spoil elections because this IS NOT the change I worked for.

They'll have to go through so many mental contortions, I expect they'd probably break their neck. What was that phrase? Just get over it! Or a favorite movie quote. "You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting" We've played their game for most of my life and they couldn't do squat when they had power and influence. I don't think they will do much as the minority party except to say NO.
