3. I have an idea too. How about we
just ignore the loser ex-VP who managed to get us attacked by terrorists, who managed to turn US policy making over to the people who will profit from it the most, who managed to lie us into a war, who authorized torture, who outed a CIA agent and generally fucked the country up worse than any VP before him. How about we let the media blather about him all day till they get it out of their systems. All he is doing is embarrassing himself.

arrest him and put him in jail while he awaits his trial. (flight risk)
