Why aren't the Bush twins out defending Daddy's torturing?

I would love to see those two try to answer a question or two just for entertainment value.

I have lived a long time, and I remember Tricia Nixon making some feeble defense of her father during Watergate. I'm sure the other daughter did, too, but I don't recall her specifically.

This notion of using your kid to get out and make arguments for you, to come to your defense when you're not yet indicted, it's not like anything I've ever seen.

And why is Liz Cheney getting any air time? What are her qualifications? She had a hack political job at State (I think it was State) when Chimpy was in power, but when did she become an expert at the machinations of the Executive Branch for the past eight years?

I saw part of one interview with her. She's mouthy, ill-informed, pushy, unpleasant, and truly his daughter .................

The real story in all this is just how incredibly horrible our media has become. They would do anything to sell a baldness cure. And that includes NPR.

Tabloid journalism. They're no better than the National Enquirer.

That's very, very disheartening.

I think Jenna Bush probably voted for Obama. At least thats the impression I got from hearing her interviewed before the election.

You shouldn't judge people because of what their parents do. I have different political views than my parents, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do too.

I know they appeared at the republican convention once. But I think it was more because they love their parents, not because they agree with all their political views. I can understand that.

I just never liked this bashing of politicians kids. Its an unfair thing to do, unless they take political positions and become activists. And I don't think the Bush twins have done that.

I was attempting to point out how ludicrous the media was. And how the media was not above putting total twits on as experts and then tell us that their opinions have gravitas.

That would be a disappointment.

Jenna did a stint in S. America as a peace corps volunteer. Then came home and wrote a book. And now is a teacher.

But also used her first-hand experience in S. America to handle the details of the real estate deal -- found the property, passed the papers around, etc -- when W bought the 10,000 acres in Paraguay that just happens to sit on top of one of the world's largest pure water aquifers.

So the baby Bushes aren't worried about oil so much any more, since potable water will be the "oil" of the 21st century and they've already got their dibs on a big hunk o'potable water.

I expect the generation after that will find a way to charge us for air...

The Bush daughters stayed out of the spotlight for almost the entire eight years of Bush's years in the WH. By all accounts they ar productive members of society. It's the norm for politician's kids to keep out of the media -- even Chelsea Clinton only emerged for her mother's -- and then Obama's -- campaigns.

No freakin' way......

That's a little beneath the dignity of a Bush.
