A plea to those democratic politicians who have not come out for gay marriage

I'm speaking to the president, vice-president, secretary of state, former presidents (Carter and Clinton)and members of congress, etc. I know many of you support the idea of civil unions. I would hope you would see that the day of giving support for civil unions is over and that it's time to move on and give open support to gay and lesbian HUMAN BEINGS by supporting there right to marry. What do straight people have to fear? look at the divorce rate among straight people. Do all straight people take there vows seriously? many gays and lesbian have had long lasting relationships--longer than many straight marriages. Why shouldn't they have the same rights as all people. The right to marry the person they love.

It's really not that tough. To me this is an issue without any shades of gray. It's black and white.

And some of you enlightened republicans come out and say you support equal rights for everybody, too.
