I'm buying the book anyway. We have known that the christian evangelicals have worked tirelessly help turn the country into a corporate slave state. The Jeffery Scarlet article..Soldiers for Christ.. got into that. We also know the Walmart has forced companies to move to China for 15 years. Walmart has slaughtered mom and pop businesses.

I think this book will add to the mounting evidence that christians are a big part of the reason we're all bankrupt now.

Hopefully this book will be the tipping point for the backlash that's coming their way.

While industrial America was built by and for the urban North, rural Southerners comprised much of the labor, management, and consumers in the postwar service sector that raised the Sun Belt to national influence. Industrial culture had been urban, modernist, sometimes radical, often Catholic and Jewish, and self-consciously international. Post-industrial culture, in contrast, spoke of Jesus with a drawl and of unions with a sneer, sang about Momma and the flag, and preached salvation in this world and the next.

Even more seriously, I was against this globalization this 20 years ago and have never forgiven the Clintons over NAFTA and Hill's sitting on their board.

Add to that their support for outsourcing, etc., and you have the seeds of our current economic crisis.

I'm too tired to find links to back it up, everyone here either knows it or is in denial of the facts.
