2. I think it was from an attach 24 hours later
One of the things mentioned by the anchors was that anybody that participated in that charade was considered working with the americans.

4. This analogy is overplayed, BUT
could you imagine what would happen to Americans who went along with a comparable ploy here? They might not be dead, but just might wish they were.

McCain is insane.

5. Here you go (we have to go overseas to find this info):
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1604931.ece

A newborn baby was one of at least 14 children and adults killed when a suicide bomber detonated a lorry laden with explosives close to a primary school in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk yesterday.

The latest massacre of Iraqi children came as 21 Shia market workers were ambushed, bound and shot dead north of the capital. The victims came from the Baghdad market visited the previous day by John McCain, the US presidential candidate, who said that an American security plan in the capital was starting to show signs of progress.

11. Per McCain: Safe for Americans. Not, apparently, for Iraqis.
Or it could be that McCain's head is so far up his ass, he must be a whale with a blowhole or he would have suffocated by now.

12. McCain was promised BushCo support for prez-McCain is in so deep now he must lie & support
Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 12:43 PM by GreenTea
Bush's war at all cost...he can't turn back, he has to lie right along with Bush (and so does Joe Lieberman he sold his soul to BushCo)...McCain too sold his soul to Bush for Bush's promises (that aren't worth shit) that he'll support McCain for the presidency, and now McCain has no soul, he will never be elected president, the Bush family couldn't care less about McCain, and John McCain will just be another bitter old beaten republican man, that no one will ever believe a word he says...

You hang out with the Bush's and come out a smelly piece of shit!

Fuck you John McCain you should of learned your lesson about the Bush's in South Carolina in 2000!!!

15. They probably looked at the footage and video
and went back and killed all the vendors shown. And, yes, McCain is directly responsible for this. His PR stunt cost those vendors their lives. I wonder how many family members they left behind?

16. When the media interviewed the Iraqi merchants from the
market McCain had visited, they warned that McCain and the others had made their market less safe, more of a target because of their "photo-op". Sadly, they were right.

McCain Wrong on Iraq Security, Merchants Say

snip

"Several merchants said Monday that the Americans’ visit might have only made the market a more inviting target for insurgents."

18. Do Sens. McCain and Graham understand that they gave the kiss of death to Iraqi street vendors?
I doubt they'd ever admit it, and I doubt the American corporate press will report it, but we might just call their offices and make sure their staff knows about it.

"five rugs for five dollars" Graham Cracker should be deeply ashamed.

The media would have newsgasms for weeks. This happens every day in McCain's safe Iraq.

And the media sleeps.

23. My brother told me when he first got to Iraq in the first wave of the war
that the soldiers learned not to socialize AT ALL with the Iraqis because it was like giving a death sentence to them.
He said that they had a really nice Iraqi that used to cook at the camp.
They befriended him and the next thing they knew he was killed for being friendly to the soldiers.
If the enlisted men know this, you can bet your ass that the higher ups know it too, but were willing to sacrifice all of those lives just so they could get a photo op of McCain and Graham buying rugs.

Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 01:42 PM by yibbehobba
I have held my tounge on this so far because people far more eloquent than I have been going after McCain.

I could not believe what I was seeing when McCain did this. It was a fucking death sentence for those people. I'm not at all surprised that this happened. This is what happens when you pretend that a war zone is something it isn't. He should drop out. This showed terrible judgement on his part.

25. It only matters if it makes it into mainstream awareness - if people call him out publicly on this.
I mean, it surely won't be reported on Fox Noise.

We'll see how it plays out today, but, yeah, this is the kind of thing that SHOULD bury a candidate, isn't of the false crap that typically ruins their candidacies.

32. KO did mention that a bomb went off 36 hours afterwards in the marketplace.
McCain has made himself the newest poster boy for the Republicans' "compassionate conservative". No one matters unless they can be used as convenient props.

I hope he sees those faces every time he closes his eyes.

He should buy a fork. He is done. If he had any self respect left he would drop out of the Pres. race and retire from the Senate. Of course, he has none left and will keep crawling in the muck.
