Roeder's ex-wife says mental illness runs in his family.
She also said when faced with the choice of buying her heart medicine or a gun, he chose the gun.

She divorced him because his views on abortion were so radical.

Chilling interview just now on our local news.

Roeder's family life began unraveling more than a decade ago when he got involved with anti-government groups, and then became "very religious in an Old Testament, eye-for-an-eye way," his former wife, Lindsey Roeder, told The Associated Press.

"The anti-tax stuff came first, and then it grew and grew. He became very anti-abortion," said Lindsey Roeder, who was married to Scott Roeder for 10 years but "strongly disagrees with his beliefs."

"That's all he cared about is anti-abortion. 'The church is this. God is this.' Yadda yadda," she said.

Lindsey Roeder said that the early years of the marriage were good and that Scott Roeder worked in an envelope factory. But she said he moved out of their home after he became involved with the Freemen movement, an anti-government group that discouraged the paying of taxes. The Roeders have one son, now 22.

"When he moved out in 1994, I thought he was over the edge with that stuff," his ex-wife said. "He started falling apart. I had to protect myself and my son."

2. This is the reality of the tragic assassination..
This is what randall terry said today..

"Terry: The point that must be emphasized over, and over, and over again: pro-life leaders and the pro-life movement are not responsible for George Tiller's death. George Tiller was a mass-murder and, horrifically, he reaped what he sowed."

17. I won't say here what I think should be done to Randall Terry. But
let's just say it should be long and drawn out.

Obviously genetic based. Need laws mandating prenatal test and mandatory abortion of those with
"Bad Seed".

22. actually, they aren't but they should be.
there is no disorder in the dsm right now that defines extreme religious beliefs as a mental illness. imho, there sure the heck should be. but at this time, there is not.

4. I just it on a different station
the son didn't have a lot of contact with his father but saw him on Friday, realizing now that he was saying goodbye. He is understandably having a rough time. So sad.

12. hell
his eyes are creepy in a photo. eesh. Speaking of which, I have noticed that fundy creeps always have strange, creepy eyes. I work with a guy who is as far right-wing, devout Catholic as it gets and he has those strange eyes too. The reason it even occurs to me is the picture of Billo the Clown on the homepage. Check out his eyes. They are not the eyes of a warm, fuzzy person.

16. LOL...you sound like me. I always look at the eyes and they usually
do not lie. Billo I don't think ever really looks at his guests. His eyes are always "darty" but he doesn't have the same "pod people" look that I'm looking for. Honestly, I don't think Billo gives a shit either way - he's just a media whore who will say anything for ratings.

I'm hoping the smoking gun or someone will give us this guy's most recent mug shots so we can see if he has progressively gotten crazier looking.

14. sort of a "Manchurian Candidate" in a way
The Randall Terry's of the world prey on these weak minded people...that's why I believe the RICO law should be applied here.

13. "The Anti-tax stuff came first...."
Considering the right wing is whipping people into a frenzy over this (Tea Parties), they are recruiting an entire army of these types of batshit freaks.

The government had better pay attention to this before it grows.

19. Yesterday afternoon their was a woman on MSNBC claiming Roeder was a schizoid
Even if he is he still acted within the confines of a premeditated assassination. He even posted online about attending Dr Tiller's church and confronting the congregation.

There IS no excuse for his actions, especially since he had been stalking Doctors who were operating within the law. Nope, I ain't buying the BS about him being schizoid, he IS a Cold Blooded Killer.

And as they have claimed of Dr Tiller as being Satan, perhaps they should look within their own dark soul, as I believe Satan dwells within them, and I don't even believe in Satan.
