I'm curious if the "Cheney Defense" will be deployed in the Tiller killing
What happens when from the top down the Rule of Law becomes relative?

If our highest officials are comfortable throwing away our Constitution and countless military and civil laws when it suits their purpose and they claim they are doing it for a "higher purpose" - i.e. "to keep us safe" and "9/11 changed everything" why would anyone not predict that such a philosophy would percolate downwards and give some citizens the idea that "law" was an elastic thing that could be stretched to suit the predilections of the person doing the stretching?

Who are the role models for this type of behavior? Will the murderer of Dr. Tiller use the "Cheney defense"?
