Why do pro-lifers put so many pictures of aborted babies on their

sites? Is it just to try an persuade others to not have an abortion or is there some strange pathology to it? I went to a few of their sites and they all had more than one link to "more pictures of aborted babies" and that is after looking at the pictures on the front page. I mean WTF?

I have seen horrendous pictures from war and have sent them around to the pro-war fundies in the past hoping that the shock of them might get these people to think twice about war. But I don't go around looking for pictures like that just to look at them. It makes me cringe.

It was said on Olbermann tonight that "no one likes abortion" and it is true. Except for maybe some anti-abortionists.

What would these people do with themselves if abortion was no longer in the picture?

It's the most common image of Jesus by far. At least Buddha is always happy and peaceful.

Anyone who doesn't acknowledge that this whole anti-choice movement doesn't hinge on psychosexual maladjustment is missing the heart of the matter..........................

some people get all twisted up early in life and associate pain with pleasure, or humiliation (of them or of others) with pleasure, or submissiveness with pleasure, or dominance with pleasure. In short, they get wired in deviant ways, and, when they're sexually mature, they find that they need to recreate whatever were the defining childhood moments that shaped their sexuality.

So, people who were humiliated as children may find themselves seeking out people who will dominate them and hurt them.

Those people, in an absolutely beautifully human contradiction, may also become their tormentors, and will only find sexual release or pleasure by humiliating others.

That's the rough explanation. It's later here, and I'm tired.

It not as if people here are for the war, so who are they intended for?


The idea is to make the opposition cringe in the event that the opposition happens to be browsing the site.


Then maybe, just maybe after cringing they will soften their position or perhaps change their mind.

How often does that happen? I dunno, but I bet at small % do.

Great question. Some would find their life devoid of meaning. Others would have no opportunity to make a living off exploiting the perpetual outrage. Many would search in earnest to find a cause that would allow them to continue to hate their fellow Americans.

Every once in a while some crazy group sets up giant walls of oversized abortion photos on our mall. I mean really nasty stuff.

Apparently there was a kindergarten class on a field trip and walked right by it and a bunch of kids started freaking out.
