3. It's something Dems do that Republicans don't. Clinton and Carter did it, too.
Democratic presidents really do try to be bi-partisan (too much so in my opinion) while GOP presidents only say they are and don't do a damn thing. I wish in some ways we were more like that--stopped worrying about what the minority party wants and do what the majority who elected dems want.
