Why would a website scrub a story about a bomb threat against Air France, days after.....
...an Air France flight mysteriously goes down in the Atlantic?

The story was posted May 27 2009

Here's the original link: http://momento24.com/en/2009/05/27/bomb-threat-on-air-france-flight/

Which is now gone.

Here's the Google cache: http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:rogFhX-NRfYJ:momento24.com/en/2009/05/27/bomb-threat-on-air-france-flight/+Ezeiza+air+france+bomb+threat&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=opera

From the story:

The airport safety delayed an Air France flight this evening before departring for Paris immediately after the company received a bomb threat over the phone at the airport of Ezeiza.

The Federal Police, along the Firemen’s direction and the Airport’s Safety proceeded to inspect the plane, that arrived this morning from the French city and, after a brief stop, it was preparing to return.

The routine procedure lasted approximately one hour and a half and, as sources of the airport reported all the passengers are ok and they were not evacuated.

2. It's just odd.
To your point: some groups don't always claim responsibility. Al Qaeda is one of them. I'm not saying that this is the case here, just addressing the point you raised.

4. Perhaps they felt the story was a non-story and removed it to
avoid needless speculation that the actual downed flight was bombed? Not saying the logic was unflawed, just suggesting a possible line of logic.

6. did you read the text of the article?

Hardly something to discount out of hand as speculation.

8. Again, it was only a possibility
Hardly seems like they took it very seriously:

9. The Story Hardly seem relevant...
Except to the 228 souls on flight 447 and their families and friends...

11. Jesus Christ on a Pogo Stick
Do you honestly think I am attempting to demean the memories and souls of the poor people on the plane? I presented a hypothesis, suggested it was not mine and flawed.

Save your energy to fight with someone who gives a shit about conspiracy theories or the lack therein of.

16. While that went through my mind
realize security officers conduct bomb searches routinely, when there is a threat and when there is no threat.

And yes, searches are quite routine

That said, I will say that a bomb did go through my mind knowing the few things I know about planes and their survival (and shielding) against lightning strikes.

Not to say that a failure in mission critical components during one of those could not do that too.

5. Over the years, this is not uncommon to have info scrubbed...

Great work finding that censor and documenting it for us. I, too have archived it.

7. Why? Because if it is true, there will be a call to do something about it
Maybe now is not a convenient time to chase more terrs.

Either that, or the article was removed because it was found without foundation.

12. Hate to rain on a good conspiracy theory parade, but the link works
http://momento24.com/en/2009/05/27/bomb-threat-on-air-france-flight/

They seem to be having some problems with the site; I got a few database errors and then this came up when I searched for it; the same story as the OP.

15. That just proves the conspiracy - they found out we were on to them, faked up some
non-specific 'database error', and tried to act as though nothing had happened... ;)

I'm not sure why you think it's gone.

14. I'm not sure that I'd jump to the conclusion that it was scrubbed.

That link gives a database error. In fact, the entire site seems to be having database problems. If you go to the root domain - http://momento24.com - you also get a database error message. So it looks like the entire site is having database problems.

On Edit: It appears that they have fixed the problem. The site is back up, including the article in question: http://momento24.com/en/2009/05/27/bomb-threat-on-air-france-flight/

So it doesn't look like the article was scrubbed. What it looks like is database problems that are now repaired.
