President Obama got a standing ovation from thousands who are against abortion

He was invited to speak at Notre Dame by a man who is opposed to abortion. When it comes to a abortion, I stand firmly with President Obama. There are people in the pro-life camp, people who want Roe v Wade overturned, who are not vicious or hateful. They believe abortion is wrong. They believe it's murder, but they don't believe in using incendiary language or endorse violence. I think they're wrong. I'll never agree with them on abortion, but I will not lump Father Jenkins or Doug Kmiec or my friend Jennifer with the hateful loons of Operation Rescue and their disgusting brethren anymore than I'll lump all Muslims together with the Taliban or all Christians with Randall Terry.

Let me know when they guard a doctor. Let me know how many unwanted children they've adopted and educated. Let me know when they really support LIFE.

Take, for instance, Republicans. Everything a Republican does is bad and evil. They are bad and evil. If, by some bizarre chance, a Republican does something even semi-good, then if an admission is even begrudgingly made of that it must be coupled with how ordinarily bad and evil they are.
