Crosspost: Save Our CA State Parks!

I'm still in a state of profound sadness over the proposed closure of so many of our California State Parks! This just cannot happen. If we lose them, they are gone forever. Some of these parks are very fragile, and can easily be completely and irrevocably destroyed out of neglect.

Please use the link below! There are links provided for each park area Assembly-member and Senator. Cal Parks has done most of the work for us! So please! DU this!

You don't know what you have until it's gone...

6. I don't think it really matters...
If they are closed and left unattended even temporarily, they will be thrashed in no time. Mono Lake, for example, has very delicate natural tufa structures that just beg for some idiot to start playing whack-a-mole. And Bodie would deteriorate over the course of a few months, no question. All of those buildings contain fragile national treasures. Once damaged, there's no going back. It takes thousands of years to create this, and only a very short while to destroy it.
