Private Water, Inc
Think if water became privatized and instead of public utilities (the government ) distributing water to homes it becomes Private Water, Inc. Now you pay Private Water, Inc a monthly payment for your water or you don't have running water.

Some consequences:
-It costs about triple what it did before.
-About 40 million people who can't afford it don't have running water.
-Even people who make the monthly payments will be denied water if Private Water, Inc wants to deny delivery.
-People are generally more dehydrated.
-Emergencies that require large amounts of water can leave millions of families financially devastated or completely ruined or plain old dead from thirst.
-The quality of life for most people is diminished to some extent due to fears and anxieties about not having water and all the hassles of getting and keeping it going.

Average person: Maybe the government should be delivering water.

Congress: It would never work. It would be a disaster. It's inconceivable. Plus I've already spent the bribe money... I mean what about all the poor employees of Private Water, Inc? Would water for all be worth losing all those jobs?

Average Person: Of course.

Congress: HAHAHAHA. Tough shit.
