Confrontation at Krogers.....Dr. Tiller

Well about thirty minutes ago I had to open my mouth AGAIN and shove my shoe down someones throat AGAIN..

Again I live in South of Memphis in Mississippi you know where a lot of RIGHTY CHRISTIANS LIVE....

A couple of friends who just got out of bible study in line in front of me at Krogers were talking about the assassination of Dr. Tiller saying how terrible it must be but he was committing a sin and got what he deserved......I could not contain myself and said he no more deserved to be murdered doing something lawful and personal then you and I deserve to die driving lawfully home from this damn store tonight.

I left my $30.00 worth of grocery's in the line and walked out...

...PISSED I SAY I WAS....please GOD get me out of here soon,I am overdue getting back to Seattle.

1. I suprised grocery stores don't post "no politics talk" in front of the cashiers
Based on how many confrontations I read about that happen in the grocery line here, the area next the the M&M's is a veritable war zone.

5. Mine was several years ago
Washington State was voting on protections for late-term abortions, and the cashier at the local Rite-Aid was ranting to whomever would listen that people were "killing babies" for "no good reason". I asked her if she knew one needed not only a doctor's affidavit but (I believe,) a court order to obtain an abortion past the first trimester in Washington State. It's a good thing looks can't kill. She hissed out that I was "evil", and I said in return, "Not as evil as someone who thinks another person should risk their life over a non-viable fetus," and walked out.

I haven't been back. I'm sure RiteAid doesn't miss me. ;-)

4. Seattle's weather has been eerily similar to MS' the last few days...
Not quite 90/90, but a lot hotter and more humid than normal. And we're sposed to even get thundershowers tomorrow!

7. No kidding about that
Been having to bite my tongue since the heat is putting me firmly into my cranky zone.
I want my 60's and 70's with a light, cool breeze back!

11. It's been mid-80s in the city for the last few days...
Tomorrow's projected to be 89.

I would complain if I lived on the Eastside, however. :P

(I grew up there; Great for a kid but I wouldn't want to be there as an adult.)

6. "Hey im Pro-life but people deserve to die".....
the hypocrisy of these people is so obvious and yet they still don't see it. I wouldn't want to live in an area full of right wing bible thumpers either, I don't blame you for wanting to move out of there.

13. I grew up in Memphis. I know the types you are talking about.
The best way to get to them is to bone up on your bible.

That book is a good start. Nothing gets their collective goat more than someone that can point out their hypocrisy and stupidity with a smile. Stay on point and never let them get you riled up. They will have aneurysms from the cognitive dissonance. Good luck.
