Dog lover (literally) can't own animals for two years
Man sentenced for having sex with his dogs told he can't own animals for two years

Associated Press
Posted: 06/02/2009 09:34:12 AM PDT

A Washington state man has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for having sex with his two dogs.

Troy Whitson entered an Alford plea Monday in Lewis County Superior Court, meaning he admitted no wrongdoing but acknowledged he'd likely be convicted.

The 21-year-old from the town of Cinebar (SI'-ne-bahr) is restricted from owning animals for two years.

His malamutes have been placed with new owners.

Prosecutor Michael Golden said Whitson is a member of a group known as Furries who identify with animals and dress the part in makeup, ears and tail. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Golden says Furries gather for social events but having sex with animals is not part of their normal behavior. He says two of Whitson's Furry friends witnessed the animal sex and turned him in.

1. I think animal sex should be illegal, with the exception of komodo dragons.

If you can get a fully-grown komodo dragon to have sex with you... well, good luck.

At least the Malamutes were full-sized dogs. I've heard of it done with smaller.

Hell, if a kid who is 17 has sex with a 16 year old (ymmv depending on state) and gets convicted they have to register, why not this freak?

Literally.

The Lewis County case comes from claims made by a couple Whitson met at a "furry" convention in Bellingham, according to charging papers.

The gathering was for people who enjoy dressing up in animal costumes, and their admirers, according to charging papers....

The charging papers allege the following account: In October the woman spent the night with Whitson in Cinebar, but called her husband and asked him to come over because she was uncomfortable.

Both said they saw Whitson engaged in sex with the female malamute, "Ruby," and the younger male malamute, "Torque."

25. Well, it *is* Lewis County
Definitely a solid bastion of republicanism.

----------
From Wikipedia:

Government and Politics

National level

Lewis County is significantly more Republican than the counties it borders, with the possible exception of Yakima County. In 2000 George W. Bush received over 60% of the county's vote. It voted for him in 2004 by almost a 2-to-1 margin. In 2008 John McCain defeated Barack Obama by over 18 percent despite losing in all the neighboring counties except Yakima. The Republican candidate has won by over 10% in every Presidential election since 1992.<3> In the last 64 years the only Democratic candidate to win the county was Lyndon B. Johnson.<4> As part of Washington's third district it is represented by Democratic congressman Brian Baird.

State representation
The county's government is the 20th district of the state. It is represented solely by Republicans.<5>
Senator Dan Swecker -- Republican
Representative Richard DeBolt -- Position 1, Republican
Representative Gary Alexander -- Position 2, Republican

County level
The county's government is solely Republican.
Lewis County Assessor: Dianne Dorey -- R
Lewis County Auditor: Gary Zandell -- R
Lewis County Clerk: Kathy Brack -- R
Coronor Terry Wilson -- R
Lewis County Prosecuting Attorney: Jeremy Randolph -- R
Lewis County Sherrif: John P. McCroskey -- R
Lewis County Treasurer: Rose A. Bowman -- R
Ron Averill , District #1 - Republican
P.W. 'Bill' Schulte, District #2 - Republican
Dennis Hadaller, District #3 - Republican
------------

Got to love this part of the original article, though:

Prosecutor Michael Golden said Whitson is a member of a group known as Furries who identify with animals and dress the part in makeup, ears and tail.
Golden says Furries gather for social events but having sex with animals is not part of their normal behavior.

(Aside from the fact that the prosecutor in a dog-sex case is a 'Golden'.) "having sex with animals is not part of their normal behavior", but the makeup, ears, and tail ARE 'normal' behavior? WTF? Good-old traditional family values strikes again!

27. Dog sex story

Some years ago, a sister-in-law had a friend whose birthday was coming up so she and others decided to have a surprise birthday party for her. On the appointed day, the friends of this woman (including my sister-in-law) went into the lady's home and hid in the fully furnished basement. This lady had a dog so they kept the dog in the basement with them. When the lady got home from work, they could hear her walking around on the main floor and then this woman started calling for her dog. Not getting a response, the lady came down the basement still calling for her pet. It is a debate as to who was surprised most. The friends hiding in the basement or the lady who was wearing nothing but peanut butter smeared all over her crotch.
