Du'ers in New York State (Or those who have relatives here)

Please call/ask relatives/friends to call NY state senators to vote for marriage equality. The senators are hearing from the bigots but not from us:

check out MENY's website, to see if they need a DCO in your area. if you have time to volunteer

I live in Albany. My state Senator is cosponsoring the bill but there are others in the area that are not supporting it, so I know there is a lot of work to do.

Even most of the Repubs I know in NY are in favor of marriage equality, it shouldn't be too hard to convince them to make a few calls. :)

My state senator is a total waste of oxygen, but some others may be movable.

As for Republican Stepdad, well, "fuhgeddaboudit". He once dropped an F-bomb (the "bundle of sticks" one) on me while I was sitting in the back seat! Had we not been in midtown traffic, just outside the Lincoln Tunnel, I would have kicked the back of his seat... :grr: :banghead:
