There's really not much left to say Hal. You threatened public officials, you threatened me and my family, and you threated anyone who disagrees with you politically. You are a terrorist and a coward and now you're in jail. You hated democracy and opted out of the system. And the best part is that you even claimed you'd shoot those who tried to stop you from exercising your "right" to incite violence.

I just got off the phone with the Capital Police of Hartford, Connecticut. They seem to think you're a real charming fellow, so charming that they had you arrested. They weren't sure what to make of my phone call at first, but as I read excerpts from you emails (see previous diaries linked above) they became more and more interested and bumped me up the chain of command with surprising alacrity. I've forwarded our email exchanges to them at their request. Just like I told you I would.

I do not think it is wise to throw that in his face because he has a family, especially with how volatile things are right now.

family? He's part of why things are so volatile now. Maybe if these creeps are locked up, things will settle down.

I'm just saying it's probably not wise because it's clear that he has become a target AND he has a family.

I thought it was just the wife who supports him while he plays radio hater in his basement.

What part of this shouldn't he be locked up for?

Since everyone is asking "Is this a GBCW?", well, I'd hate to do anything so permanent or dramatic. Ok, I actually like the drama, I'm stupid for it. But I feel it's important to cut my ties to this incident and find a more constructive way to engage conservatives, liberals and everyone else. If there's something important to say I'll have to work harder to find a place to say it, a way to say it, and a name to say it under that will help "perfect our union" as Obama is fond of saying. Perhaps that's where the answer lies for me: going back to the books that have inspired me like Audacity and asking myself if I'm the person those ideas inspire me to be.
