No Class
The Health Care crisis is another example of class warfare. They can pretend all they like, but this is what it comes down to. They feed upon our health like jackals licking at a pool of blood. Sick? Injured? Take heart. If you've been paying their extortion, their legal blackmail, you MIGHT be able to get help without shredding your wallet. If you're lucky, if the insurance companies don't find a way to screw you out of your benefits.

For-profit health care is a way for the parasites on top to get fat and bloated on the misery of those in the middle. They don't really mind if those on the bottom get any care at all. They're not feeding the beast, so they can just drop dead. But, in the meantime, they plan to suck the rest of us as dry as a desert riverbed. Why not? What can we do about it? We can't go without insurance.

If you think this isn't class warfare, think again. The right has been using this accusation as a way to shout us down for years. Bitch about the rich? Bitch that we're not getting our fair share of the American Pie? Class warfare!

As I've said--of course it's class warfare. And the only ones doing the shooting are the ones standing up-hill from us. We're not shooting back or, at least, we're shooting back so timidly we might as well not be at all.

Yes, it's class warfare, you FUCKS. You take from our labor, you take from our taxes, you take from our insurance payments, our "low-interest" loans, and you grow fat and happy on our contributions and yet sit there in your comfy chairs looking DOWN at us and rejecting anything that might make our lives a little easier? You pay our representatives to uphold YOUR end of things and leave us scavenging anything we can get out of the ruins of our lives?

Tax the rich. It's not hard. Raise the cap. We can DO it. Health Care (not insurance) for ALL. Enough is enough.

The bloated corporate fat-cats, the insurance executives, the pharmaceutical CEOs, the Bankers, these consummate hucksters gorge themselves on the corpse of the American Dream and grin at one another over the carcass, teeth stained red with the blood of those who have died from their neglect, and we stand idly by watching in horror and disbelief.

Is it OUR government or is it THEIR government? Why are we paying our taxes, why are we paying their wages, if they serve Mammon and the parasites more than they serve us? If their influence is so strong that what we want doesn't matter, isn't that taxation without (adequate) representation?

That's precisely what I think it is.

It's class warfare folks, and we're losing badly. It's time to dig out the torches and pitchforks and storm the castle. The pundits and corporate lackeys can call it what they like, but it's about time we acted as though we truly know the score.

"Damn right it's Class Warfare, you fucks--you started it. But if you think we're just going to lay down and die... Think again."

1. K&R I agree but don't you know that if we tax the rich we will be effectively
killing incentive to 'get ahead'? :sarcasm:

2. Oh, it slaps a whammy to wealthy folks too, who find themselves hospitalized and then learn
they're under-insured.

9. Depends on what you mean by "wealthy"
If you mean someone who makes $200K a year, you're right. But, that's not wealthy.

My local hospital has a floor where they have two and three-room suites with private nurses round the clock and private chefs for the truly wealthy. These are people who can write a check for $500,000 without batting an eye. And, these are the people who are blocking our access to health care.

12. Naw, I live in the DC area where $200K does NOT qualify you as 'wealthy'
I have kin in Danbury, CT and one of their neighbors had a real shock in the hospital...when their insurance co. said, "sorry, we won't cover that."

It can happen to anyone.

6. Of course

The health care industry is another bubble. And it too will burst. After millions and millions lose their jobs and with it their insurance, I'll be dammned if I'm going to pay the increases in my monthly premiums to cover all the uninsured. I might as well be uninsured too and save my money to buy food to eat. If I get sick, I will just die sooner. Because they don't care about 'me', all they care about is their profits.

edit for clarity

And I thought he wasn't as bad as the other fuckers in Congress! :puke:

10. Socialized health care as a human right is the moral and most
economic solution.

What we have now in the USA is class not partisan conflict.

Too many Democrats and GOP want to preserve the status quo of our social structure and not have to look at or feel the consequences.

The wealth and income distribution should be flatter; social safety nets are good because they in practice prevent the fear, desperation, and nihilism of going without basic needs.

Socialized health care would be a boom for small business.

You make great posts Mythsaje. Thank you.

11. If we do get a public option, everyone should drop their insurance and buy
into it even if it comes through shot full of holes (limitations, so the insurance companies can offer extended coverage). If there is no more money to be made, they will get out of the business, then we can go back to Congress and make them fill the holes with real coverage.
