Breaking: Angelo Mozilo former Countrywide Chairman and CEO charged with fraud

by SEC. Also charged were the company's former chief operating officer, David Sambol, and former financial chief, Eric Sieracki.
The SEC has charged Angelo Mozilo, the former chairman and CEO of Countrywide Financial, with insider trading.

The SEC also charged the company's former chief operating officer, David Sambol, and former financial chief, Eric Sieracki, with securities fraud for failing to disclose the firm's relaxed lending standards in its 2006 annual report.

4. Trust me...there are LOTS pf financial folks whose hands are trembling

while trying to hold their Grey Goose or100 proof scotch tonight. NOTHING puts the fear into people like having one of their cohorts charged with the crimes they've all been commiting!

Thom Hartmann quickly shut up a RW nutball the other day as they were arguing about what to do about illegal immigration. Thom told him his wall wouldn't work, and putting military on the border won't work. They guy was "well just what would YOU DO Thom?" Quickly Thom responded "Put several executives in jail!"

5. Let's wait until the trial/sentencing happens before breaking out the champagne.

Maybe I still have post-traumatic Bushwhack-itis, but until there are actual consequences for the
many many many many Corporate Crooks of the last 20 years, I remain skeptical.

Hopeful, but skeptical.
