Why Does the Media Keep Giving Liz Cheney A Platform?
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/

Liz Cheney is blanketing the airwaves again today, and as is more often the case than not, she's the lone guest, unchallenged by someone with teeth from the reality-based community -- a privilege usually reserved for high officials or newsmakers. Obama hand-holding terrorists? Check. Saddam connected to Al Qaeda? Check

A media environment that tilts to the right is obscuring what President Obama stands for and closing off political options that should be part of the public discussion. ...

The power of the Limbaugh-Gingrich axis means that Obama is regularly cast as somewhere on the far left end of a truncated political spectrum. He's the guy who nominates a "racist" to the Supreme Court (though Gingrich retreated from the word yesterday), wants to weaken America's defenses against terrorism and is proposing a massive government takeover of the private economy. ...

Democrats are complicit in building up Gingrich and Limbaugh as the main spokesmen for the Republican Party, since Obama polls so much better than either of them. But the media play an independent role by regularly treating far-right views as mainstream positions and by largely ignoring critiques of Obama that come from elected officials on the left. - E.J. Dionne

2. they rely on numbers...if people call or email they hate her, they only see it as numbers
negative or positive, if you generate 'mail' they consider you pertinent lies or not

3. Cheney's positioning his daughter to either run for office
or he thinks he can bully someone into appointing her to an office.

I think this is pretty obvious, but there may be people who disagree.

5. He said he wants her to run for office
This non-stop coverage with hacks hosting these programs is beyond vulgar.
This is a freaking first.

4. It's the job of the M$M to make us believe we're a divided country
More and more citizens are getting vocal about their common, uniting economic interests.

The Ruling Class can't have unity among the peons, so their M$M is to trot out fake either/or issues and get us all sidetracked and believing we're at odds with each other.

6. The Democrats on the Hill --our elected representatives for the most
part are not trusted by the Media.

Just the other day on MSNBC, one guest was questioning why it always
has to be Obama who does the public pushback against Cheney.

The explanation by the reporter: There is no one else with the stature
of Cheney other than Obama.

Let me say this--If J. Mitchell, say D.P.Monihan, many others from
that age group---These Democrats would have never hesitated to step
up to the plate to put out the Democratic Position. It appears
that present day Democrats avoid Cameras like the plague. They
will never convince the American People and especially the Media
they are leaders who believe in something.

How did Cheney get stature--by acting as if he was an authority and
never showing hesitation. The Media may not agree with him but they
respect the Republicans because they belkieve in something and stick
to their guns.

They do not respect the Democrats first because Democrats do not defend
Liberalism. If the Democrats do not defend Liberalism what do they
believe in enough to go to the mat???

The Media knows the truth. We have 2 parties (Cons. and Lib.) therefore
no one takes a stand. They know we change according to who is president.

7. The new Phyllis Schlafly. Replace the anti-feminist woman with a lesbian
that would guard the gates of the extermination camps.

It's all the same people with the same agenda and backed by the same money.

8. Actually, her sister is the lesbian--Liz is the fifth deferment.
But I do wonder if she's the "feminine side" of torture. You know, "it's not so bad--even ladies can defend it."
